Scouts and Guides at St. Philomena’s English School

At St. Philomena’s English School, adventure and service come alive through our thriving Bharat Scouts and Guides, Cubs, and Bulbuls programs. For over two decades, we’ve nurtured these initiatives, engaging around 900 students each year in a journey of growth, leadership, and responsibility. Our commitment to holistic development has earned us the prestigious Rajya Puraskar from the Governor of Karnataka for three to four consecutive years—a proud recognition of our students’ excellence and our school’s dedication.

Our Scouts and Guides, alongside the enthusiastic Cubs and Bulbuls, are more than participants—they’re pillars of our community. They shine in action, volunteering at exam centers with discipline, supporting health camps to promote well-being, and championing Environment Day with tree-planting and awareness drives. These efforts reflect our belief: “Growth begins where service takes root.” From mastering practical skills like first aid and map reading to embracing teamwork and empathy, our students grow into confident, caring individuals through these experiences.

The energy of our scouting spirit spills over into events we proudly host—annual Scouts and Guides camps, Cubs and Bulbuls Utsavs, and Rajya Puraskar testing camps. Picture 900 students buzzing with excitement: older scouts pitching tents and navigating trails, while younger Cubs and Bulbuls light up the grounds with games and storytelling. These gatherings showcase skills, spark friendships, and cement our reputation as a leader in Karnataka’s scouting landscape.

At St. Philomena’s, Scouts and Guides isn’t just an activity—it’s a way of life that shapes character and builds a legacy of service. We’re honored to see our students carry these values forward, making a difference in school and beyond.
